[Saturday, March 11, 2004] The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) today confirmed the full commissioning of its new SCISAT satellite, launched in August 2003 from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. The 2-year Atmospheric Chemistry Experiment (ACE) is now underway.

Mars »» Nozomi Mission to Mars Fails

[Tuesday, December 09, 2003] The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) today confirmed that the Japanese satellite Nozomi has been rerouted away from Mars by JAXA, the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency. Crucial orbit insertion maneuvers were impossible to achieve because of defective equipment onboard and the mission has been canceled. Nozomi will now follow a harmless large elliptic solar orbit.

[Tuesday, December 09, 2003] The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) and MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (MDA) announced today that the company has been awarded $1.2 million by the CSA for Phase A for a key scientific instrument of the NASA Phoenix Mission, set to go to Mars in 2007.
